CPU utilization on the primary Storage Processor reaches 90-100% at the same time each day and remains high for around 15 minutes.
The APEX AIOps team has identified an issue where a specific Service Data Collection (SDC) plugin may intermittently trigger multiple PostgreSQL (PSQL) commands. When this occurs, the resulting PSQL queries can cause significant CPU utilization on the Primary Storage Processor (SP), which is responsible for running uDoctor tasks. Note: This behavior does not occur when a Service Data Collection is generated manually. The issue only affects uDoctor scheduled tasks, including the daily log collections generated for APEX AIOps.
This issue is resolved in Unity OE version 5.0.3 , which includes a code fix to prevent the excessive CPU utilization caused by the affected uDoctor scheduled tasks. For additional information about Dell Unity OE versions and release schedules, refer to the Dell Unity OE Matrix knowledge article.
