The customer reports that almost all VMs are greyed out in the UI. A few VMs may appear, but no VMs were deleted in vCenter. Backup any virtual machine in the vCenter results in a failed backup with code 10005. The vCenter connection restart showed ok but after refresh you can see the connection showing down. In Avamar Administration, select the vCenter client, click Edit Client, and then click OK. A "Failed to connect to vCenter" message appears. Use the same account in vCenter to log in (Do not use admin account as customer might mix them) and vCenter come up with "invalid credential"
Either the login account was locked or expired even the password is not changed.
Advise to create a new vSphere account or fixing the account permission issue can resolve the issue.
