Symptoms

An error similar to the following appears in the Avamar MC UI: MAJ Bios Memory #02 Mmry ECC Sensor Uncorrectable ECC, NODE 0 CHANNEL 0 DIMM 0/DIMM_A1 6f [a1 00 08] A Dial Home may also be sent.

Cause

The memory is failing or has failed.

Resolution

1. Log in to the affected node as admin and elevate to root. 2. Review the messages file (/var/log/messages) to confirm the error. 3. Check the condition of the memory: ipmitool sdr entity 32 -v 4. Contact Dell Technologies Technical Support to replace the node using the Disk Transplant procedure.
