Scenario PFMP upgrade of CloudLink deployment to version 8.2 (or 8.3) shows a successful package install, and no errors are reported. The KVM‑based CloudLink VM is unreachable via ping . When trying to access the CloudLink UI via https://cloudlink‑host/ , the UI shows a “ 404 Not Found ” HTTP error. When trying to access the CloudLink VM via console and logging in as ' cloudlink ', the following warning message screen will appear in a SUMMARY box, as seen below: Impact CloudLink UI and console are not available.
A defect in the CloudLink upgrade workflow for versions 8.2 (and 8.3) prevents proper preservation of the VM’s persisted network configuration. As a result, the management interface loses its valid IP configuration after the upgrade. Although the web UI service starts successfully, it binds to an invalid or undefined address, causing HTTP 404 responses.
Restoring the network configuration from the CloudLink console will re‑establish the management interface and bring the UI back online: 1. Log in to the CloudLink console 2. Configure the network using the "Reset network" option from the CloudLink console; go to "Reset network" and update the IP address: 3. Once the IP is configured, access the CloudLink UI from a browser and log in as ' secadmin ' 4. Go to System → Cluster , verify the CloudLink Cluster configuration is in an ' OK ' state 5. Verify the DNS and time are correct, or update if required 6. Generate and download the backup package from both nodes Impacted Versions CloudLink 8.2 CloudLink 8.3 Fixed in Versions CloudLink 8.3.2
