Destination PowerStore iSCSI initiators (IQNs) are not visible in the source system's Add Host wizard when the source runs PowerStore OS 4.4.x with iSCSI data connection type. Manually added initiators show zero active sessions and trigger a "No Host Login Connectivity" warning during resource mapping.
Known software limitation in PowerStore OS 4.4.x prevents recognition of external PowerStore iSCSI initiators during host operations.
On the Destination System Confirm the remote system Data Connection State is OK . Resolve any issues if not. Open remote system Properties → Block Connectivity tab. Note the Initiator Address . Identify the storage network associated with that Initiator Address. Go to Hardware → Ports → Ethernet . Enable the IQN column. Collect all IQNs on the identified storage network across all nodes and appliances. Trim each IQN — remove the suffix after the node name and discard duplicates. "iqn.2015-10.com.dell:dellemc-powerstore-abc00123456789-a-6bf43857" becomes "iqn.2015-10.com.dell:dellemc-powerstore-abc00123456789-a" On the Source System Open Add Host wizard. Manually enter all trimmed IQNs and complete host creation. Ignore the missing active session count — this is expected when Data Connection State is OK. Map volumes to the host. Ignore the "No Host Login Connectivity" warning. Complete Import Return to the destination system and proceed with import operations.
