An affected Dell desktop that is connected to an HP E24t G5 FHD Touch Monitor using a USB-B to USB-A cable may experience issues when powering on the computer. This occurs only when the USB cable is connected to the Dell desktop before powering on the Dell desktop. The computer may fail to complete POST (black screens, no Dell logo), display a solid white LED, or have no video. It may take five to ten minutes to boot into the operating system. The Dell desktop works normally when the USB cable is disconnected while powering on the computer. If only HDMI or DisplayPort is used, and the USB-B to USB-A cable is not used, the computer works as expected.
