Attempts to modify file system properties may fail, and the changes are not applied. How to Identify the Issue. During an attempt to modify file system properties in the PowerStore Manager (UI), the system may display a message stating "File QoS policy already set to None." As a result, the operation does not complete successfully.
In PowerStoreOS 4.4, updates to the PowerStore Manager (UI) change how modifications to file system properties are processed. During certain operations, an additional property may be in the request. This can result in the "File QoS policy already set to None" validation message being returned.
Workaround One of the following methods can be used to modify file system properties: Use the PowerStore CLI (PSTCLI) or REST API to update the file system properties directly. Alternatively, create a File QoS policy in the PowerStore Manager (UI) and temporarily assign it to the file system while making the required property changes. After the changes are complete, the QoS policy can be unassigned. When a temporary QoS policy is applied, a maximum throughput value of 1,000,000 (1 TB/s) can be configured to avoid any effective quality‑of‑service impact during the modification process.
