If the tape library does not function properly, run the WRKHDWRSC *STG command to identify the storage controllerresource name and associated IOP. In this example, the IOP driving storage controller DC09 is IOP CMB07.1. If the library appears, select 7 on the library to verify the serial number of the device. Select 9 to verify associated tape devices are varied on. Note the name of the storage controller and the IOP. 2. Enter the STRSST command to start system service tools. 3. Log in to SST, and select 1 to start a service tool. 4. Select 7 for hardware service manager. 5. Select 3 to locate a resource by resource name. 6. Enter the storage controller resource name (CMB07) and press Enter. 7. Select 6. 8. Select 4. 9. Press Enter to confirm.
