The CTRL+ALT+S hotkey is used on a Dell Pro 5 Micro P5M1260 in the BIOS to display or hide Service Setup options. The CTRL+ALT+S hotkey does not display or hide the Service Setup options in the BIOS when connecting to a Dell Pro 5 Micro P5M1260 using Serial over LAN (SOL). Affected Platforms: Dell Pro 5 Micro P5M1260
SOL does not support multi-key inputs such as CTRL+ALT+S. This is a limitation of SOL.
Short-term solution: Enable service mode items from the computer locally and then connect using SOL. Long-term solution: The engineering department is working on a fix to be released in BIOS version A03 and later. The updated BIOS is posted to the computer’s support page once it is made available. BIOS version A03 is expected to be released in July. Starting with BIOS version A03, the Service Setup items in the BIOS will be natively displayed when connecting using SOL.
