The external monitor works as expected when turning on the laptop and connecting the dock to the laptop. However, the monitor does not turn on when connecting the dock to the laptop that is shutdown or in sleep or connected standby mode. The issue occurs when Thunderbolt Technology Support is disabled in BIOS. Affected Platforms: Dell Pro 14 Plus PB14250 Dell Pro 16 Plus PB16250
Power Delivery has dropped the VBUS after data reset command.
Note: Before starting the update, perform the following: Back up all personal data. For more information, refer to Back Up and Recovery . Connect the AC adapter. Updating the BIOS to version 2.8.1 or later on the computer resolves the issue. To download and install the BIOS, refer to the BIOS Update Guide .
