The Panel Self-Refresh (PSR) option is missing from the Intel graphics software UI on Alienware Laptops after installing the Intel graphics driver. (version 32.0.101.7026) Steps to locate the PSR option: Open the Intel Graphics Software application. Select Display . Scroll down to Power Saving . The PSR option is missing. Affected Platforms: Alienware 16 Aurora AC16250 Alienware 16X Aurora AC16251 Alienware 16 Area-51 AA16250 Alienware 18 Area-51 AA18250 Affected Versions: Intel-Graphics-Driver_J26CF_WIN64_32.0.101.7026_A02.exe
This is due to an issue with the Intel Driver version.
Update the Intel graphics driver to the most recent version available: Note: Before starting the update, perform the following: Back up all personal data. For more information, refer to: Back Up and Recovery Connect the AC adapter if updates are being run on a laptop. Alienware 16 Aurora AC16250: Updating the Intel graphics driver to version 32.0.101.7079 or later on the laptop resolves the issue.
