This error or warning indicates that the email server is not configured correctly or not accessible for RecoverPoint.
Verify the following: Communication can be established between the RPA and the server being used. (Use ping, telnet, curl, and so on.) The Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP) server allows the RPA that is sending the mail is allowed to relay. Note: When the Management and Wide Area Network (WAN) RPA IP addresses are on the same subnet, the RPA may use the WAN IP Address to send mail. If the Management and WAN IP addresses are on different subnets, the Management IP addresses are used (unless the SMTP server is on the same subnet as the WAN IP addresses).
