Inspiron laptop may stop responding for five minutes after running the Windows 11 KB5066835 update. The issue occurs when restarting the computer to apply changes after the update is complete. The mouse and keyboard may not respond. Affected Platforms: Inspiron 14 5425 Inspiron 16 5625
This is due to the compatibility issues between Windows 11 and the AMD chipset driver.
Follow the steps below to resolve the issue. Updating the AMD Chipset driver version 7.8.6.151 or later. Note: To download and install the driver, refer to How to Download and Install Dell Drivers and Firmware . Restart the computer. Complete the Windows 11 update to the latest version.
