During LAN indexing operations in CyberSense, jobs fail with the following error: LAN indexing job failed (failed as the result of dispatch termination in the middle of the job). No segments exist for processing. The failure occurs while CyberSense processes Microsoft Exchange file types. The dispatch service fails because of memory exhaustion.
During installation or upgrade, the setup_cybersense script may configure an excessively deep indexing level for Exchange file types. When CyberSense processes large volumes of Exchange files, this indexing depth drives high memory usage, which causes the OOM killer to terminate the dispatch service. The Dell Development team has confirmed this behavior as a memory leak related to the Exchange filter configuration.
Workaround: Contact the Dell Support Center and raise a Service Request.Reference this article (#000384411) to expedite your case. Permanent Resolution: Upgrade to CyberSense version 8.15.0-3.0 or later, which addresses this issue.
