Logging into the appliance for the first time, after associating a directory group to a custom user role, the login fails with an unknown error. A general login failure is shown when trying to log in as a directory user for the first time: The tomcat/application.log shows the following error: [ERROR] 2025-06-10 15:06:27.286 [ajp-nio-0:0:0:0:0:0:0:1-8009-exec-25] LdapAuthDetails - Throwing io.vertx.pgclient.PgException: { "message": "null value in column \"base_entity_id\" violates not-null constraint", "severity": "ERROR", "code": "23502", "detail": "Failing row contains (201, null, 24901).", "where": "SQL statement \" Successfully logging into the web UI with a working user account shows the following error: An Error occurred while retrieving the user details
The user-entity merge store procedure causes a cascade delete, disassociating user permissions during the first time login.
A fix to the stored procedure will be available in the next release of OpenManage Enterprise, version 4.6.0, available January 2026. This fix ensures that the cascading user-entity deletion does not occur during first-time logins. Until then, the following workaround can be done: Delete the impacted users and groups from OpenManage Enterprise.Delete the impacted custom role.Re-create the custom role, reimport the AD group, and associate with the re-creating custom role.Login with the directory user to ensure that the re-created custom role is functional.
