Attempts to add cluster disks result in the following error message: "No disks suitable for cluster disks were found. For diagnostic information about disks available to the cluster, use the Validate a Configuration Wizard to run Storage tests."
The shared storage cluster incorrectly identifies the HBA465e as a RAID controller rather than as a Host Bus Adapter (HBA), which prevents the addition of shared cluster disks.
To enable support for shared storage with the Direct Attached HBA465e adapter, a registry modification is required: Warning : Modifying the Windows registry can cause serious system issues if not performed correctly. It is recommended to back up the registry before making any changes. To add the required registry key: Open the Registry Editor (regedit.exe). Navigate to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\ClusDisk\Parameters Right-click Parameters and select New Select DWORD and give a new value: AllowBusTypeRAID Once the key is created, give it a value of 0x01. Click OK . Close the Registry Editor. Restart the system.
