BIOS Microcode update required to support NVIDIA graphics is the cause.
Updating to the following version of BIOS on the computer resolves the issue. For Dell Pro QBT1250, QBS1250, QBM1250, QCT1250, QCS1250, or QCM1250 BIOS revision 1.4.4 or later For Dell ECT1250, or ECS1250 BIOS revision 1.4.4 or later For Dell Pro Max FCM2250, FCS1250, or FCT2250 BIOS revision 1.4.1 or later To download and install the BIOS, refer to the Dell BIOS and UEFI Update Download and Installation Guide . If the computer is not able to update BIOS from inside the Operating System, see Flashing the BIOS from the F12 One-Time Boot Menu to update the BIOS from outside the Operating System.
