Unable to access the Cloud provider for the Cloud unitDDVE-ATOS: The file system is not running.DDVE-ATOS: Volume unavailableDDVE-ATOS: The file system does not exist.
The issue may be any of the following: The Cloud certificate does not exist The Cloud certificate has expired Cloud provider access permissions The License has expired There are connectivity issues between the DDVE and the cloud object-store
For a new deployment, follow the deployment and installation guide for the appropriate Data Domain Operating System (DDOS) version. For an already configured DDVE on Cloud facing issues with file system and connectivity, review the following: Alert identification Data Domain file system (DDFS) status Disk and disk group status DDVE-ATOS configuration with correct instance-type License check Capacity check Permission check on Cloud provider storage account Storage account endpoint identification Connectivity check Certificate check Reference commands: To check the object-store configuration (to get the object-store URL): storage object-store profile show To verify that the file system is configured and running: filesys status To check for any current alerts on the DD (or DDVE): alerts show current To check for the uptime of Data Domain (DD) and DDFS: uptime To check for DDVE ATOS configuration for instance-type, CPU, and memory: system vresource show current system vresource show requirement To check for licenses and validity: elicense show all To check for metadata disks and confirm that all are present which are configured for metadata disks: disk show hardware disk show state To check for disk group stability and confirm all the configured devices are configured as DGx. storage show all (This also shows the maximum capacity that the DD is configured for.) To check for DD capacity, and confirm it is not above threshold: filesys show space To check for metadata capacity: filesys show space tier active local-metadata (Confirm it is not above 90%) Permission check: Verify the role and permission on the Cloud provider. It must be an IAM role or object-user role to the owner of the bucket. Granular Permission should be: LIST BUCKET GET BUCKET PUT BUCKET DELETE BUCKET LIST OBJECT GET OBJECT PUT OBJECT DELETE OBJECT Certificate check: Verify that the certificates are imported correctly in DD for cloud providers: adminaccess certificate show (The imported-ca certificates for cloud application should be displayed along with local host and CA certificates.)Verify if the certificates are valid (not expired). URL identification: Get the object-store URL (storage account endpoint). The storage account endpoint may be one of the following: For AWS: s3.<region>.amazonaws.com and <bucketname>.s3.<region>.amazonaws.com For Azure: <accountname>.blob.core.windows.net For Azure government: <accountname>.blob.core.usgovcloudapi.net For Azure China: <account-name>.blob.core.chinacloudapi.cn For GCP: storage.googleapis.com For Alibaba: <region>.aliyuncs.com Connectivity check: a. Ping the endpoint from DD: ping <storage account endpoint> If ping is disabled (ICMP is not allowed in the user environment), run a traceroute for endpoint to see if DD/DDVE is reaching to that endpoint: net route trace <endpoint> b. Lookup the storage account endpoint to verify that the DD is resolving the hostname<->IP and conversely: net lookup <storage account endpoint> c. Verify if the correct Domain Name System (DNS) servers are configured, and the DNS servers are reachable from DD/DDVE: # net show dns d. Verify that the required ports are opened (bidirectional) from the DDVE to object-store (ports 80, 443, 9020, 9021) Note: Systems Engineering (SE) or bash mode must be used (Only available for Data Domain support). SE mode: se telnet <object-store URL> <port-number> Bash mode: telnet <object-store URL> <port-number> If the ports are not open, have this done by the team who manages the firewall, security, or networks in the environment.
