When Wake On Magic Packet is set to Disabled in Device Manager, the 5G Fiber LAN card can wake from a hibernate (S4) state. This also occurs with Deep sleep set to Enabled in S5 only. Affected Platforms: Dell Pro Max Micro FCM2250Dell Pro Max Slim FCS1250Dell Pro Max Tower T2 FCT2250Dell Pro Micro QCM1250Dell Pro Micro Plus QBM1250Dell Pro Slim QCS1250Dell Pro Slim Plus QBS1250Dell Pro Tower QCT1250Dell Pro Tower Plus QBT1250Dell Slim ECS1250
Realtek advises this is expected behavior. The Realtek Network Driver Interface Specification (NDIS) does not distinguish between hibernate (S4) and shut down (S5). Wake-on-LAN (WOL) should be controlled by the Shutdown Wake-On-Lan setting in Device Manager. It should not be controlled by Wake on Magic Packet.
Use the Shutdown Wake-On-Lan setting to control WOL for S4 and S5 states. Press the Windows key+X and then click Device Manager.Expand Network adapters.Right-click the Realtek PCIe 5GbE Family Controller and then select Properties.Go to the Advanced tab.Locate Shutdown Wake-On-Lan in the Property list.Set the Value to Disabled.
