Note: Before starting the update, perform the following: Back up all personal data. For more information, refer to Back Up and Recovery.Connect the AC adapter if updates are being run on a laptop.Ensure that power remains connected if updates are being run on a desktop. Updating the Dell Universal Dock UD22 Firmware Update Utility to version 1.0.17.23, A07 or later on the computer resolves the issue. To download and install the firmware, refer to the Driver Update Guide. After updating the firmware, follow the steps to correct the Billboard name in Device Manager: Check the Device Manager to see if the model name has changed. If not, right click to uninstall all devices. Confirm to uninstall device. Click Scan for hardware changes. Check that the model name has been modified in Device Manager. If an IT representative in an enterprise found this issue when using WMI, they should update the firmware to A06 first. Then perform the following steps to confirm if the model has changed. Open PowerShell.Type the following script:Get-WmiObject Win32_pnpEntity | Select-Object Name Query result should show Dell Universal Dock US22.
