U2722D, U2722DE, and U2722DX Dell monitors may flicker when connected to Mac products Owners of Dell U2722D, U2722DE, or U2722DX 27-inch Ultrasharp flat screen display may experience the screen flickering. This only happens when the monitor connects to a Mac device, such as a laptop or desktop computer.
The Mac settings cause a compatibility issue with the monitors.
You can resolve this by turning the True Tone setting off on the Mac device. The following instructions take you through turning True Tone off: Go to the Mac device and open System Preferences . Select Displays . Ensure that the check box next to the True Tone option is empty. (See Figure.1) ( Figure.1 Built-in Retina Display Screenshot) Turn off the Dell Monitor. Wait for a minimum of two hours after disabling the True Tone option before you turn the Dell monitor on.
