PowerProtect Data Manager backup for a VM fails when attempting to configure the VM for TSDM backup by enabling the LWD filter driver on the VM. ABV0025: VM Direct engine is unable to configure protection for the virtual machine 'VM1' on vCenter 'vc70'. Unable to ENABLE LWD on VM1 - SPIF filters change failure: Not enough resources..Failed to attach IO Filter vmwarelwd:The failing VMs reside on NFS data store backed by Pure Storage
API failure at the storage level
For the failing VMs, 'storage vMotion' the VM to a VMFS datastore and retry the PowerProtect Data Manager backup job. If there are no VMFS datastores available to migrate the VMs to, then engage the storage Vendor Support or VMware Support to root cause the failure. NOTE: This issue has also been seen on NFS Datastores on Cisco Hyper-Flex storage.
