You cannot set extended mode across two daisy-chained monitors through a UD22 dock Dell customers using the Universal Dock UD22 to connect two external monitors to their computer may experience a configuration error. The configuration issue can be seen under the following circumstances: You are using the Dell Universal Dock UD22 between your computer and the external monitors. Two external monitors are connected to the UD22 dock in a daisy chain format. Extend Mode fails to set across the two external monitors and the monitors display no video. Duplicate Mode shows the same video output successfully on both monitors.
The Dell Universal Dock UD22 does not support connecting devices to the dock in a daisy chain format.
Note : The Dell Universal Dock UD22 is working as designed in this situation. The dock's behavior is as expected under these circumstances. The Dell Universal Dock UD22 works under these conditions with Duplicate mode set. It works under extended mode if both external devices are connected directly to the dock with the appropriate cabling. However, if you require Extended mode and can only configure the monitors in the daisy chain format you must change to a different docking station model: Dell docks which support extended mode and the monitor configuration: Dell Dock - WD19S Dell Performance Dock - WD19DCS Dell Thunderbolt Dock - WD19TBS Dell Thunderbolt Dock - WD22TB4
