NetWorker is configured to perform Oracle Backups using database authentication, and backups fail with the following error message. ORA-01017: invalid username/password; logon denied
NetWorker Module for Database and Applications (NMDA) integrate with Oracle RMAN to perform backups of the Oracle database. NMDA can connect to the Oracle using Oracle OS authentication, or Oracle database authentication.During the configuration of the NetWorker client resource using the NetWorker Management Console (NMC) client wizard, the following error could occur while specifying Oracle database authentication. ORA-01017: invalid username/password; logon denied This error can occur for several reasons, including:- Incorrect username or password specified- Oracle user specified is locked at the database.- Oracle user password has expired.- Oracle user specified does not have sysdba, or sysbackup privileges.
