Garbage Clean(GC) process is unavailable during copy phase on system that is configured with Cloud tier on Dell EMC ECS Object Storage and cannot be cancelled. Due to is unavailable Cloud GC process scheduled GC task for Active Tier will be impacted. Dell EMC Data Domain engineering has identified code defect in GC process. Issue reference is Jira DDOSCFD-7854
Fix for this defect is ported in DDOS 7.7.1.0 and later. Upgrade system to DDOS 7.7.1.0 and later. If Cloud GC process is is unavailable run following command before proceeding with upgrade. # filesys restart NOTE: Data Domain System may fail to shut down cleaning during above restart. This alert can be ignored but ensure file system that is up enabled correctly using following command. # filesys status # filesys show space # cloud unit list Proceed with DDOS upgrade if there is no CRITICAL alert on system.
