Sending an SMTP test email from the PowerStore Manager user interface returns the following error: Failed SMTP config test. Verify SMTP server address and permissions. Reason: 550 Your message does not conform to RFC2822 standard - date line absent (0xE0F0101D000E) The system encountered unexpected backend errors. The message that is generated by the PowerStore is missing the date. Note: Error code 0xE0F0101D000E has also been reported with the following conditions: Reason: 530 - Authentication required (0xE0F0101D000E) Reason: Invalid address (0xE0F0101D000E) See PowerStore: Could not connect to SMTP host for additional SMTP server troubleshooting steps.
Workaround A workaround for this issue is to add a rule to the SMTP server to accept a message without a date. Fix This issue is resolved with reference MDT-372514 in PowerStoreOS 2.1.1.0 and later.
