Upgraded appsync from 4.0 to 4.1. Not able to re-discover, enable/disable service plan, run service plan through appsync GUI. GUI got hung and kept updating the page. Even not able to disable/enable/run the service plan through CLI. When running any task on GUI or CLI, the backend program of appsync software not able to get sufficient amount of heap memory allocated.
Resolution: Go to AppSync install path EMC\AppSync\jboss\executive Save a copy of application-service.conf to a safe location. Find the following two parameters: wrapper.java.additional.2=-Xms1024m wrapper.java.additional.3=-Xmx2048m Double the values to: wrapper.java.additional.2=-Xms2048m wrapper.java.additional.3=-Xmx4096m Reboot the AppSync Server host, which will also restart the AppSync services. Note: The above values were increased based on 20G Ram available for the AppSync server host.
