Symptoms
When you install Alienware Command Center (AWCC) from the installer (setup.exe) and other Microsoft applications open or running in the background, you may receive a 1603 Installation Error message, and the installation fails.
This error happens on systems running Windows 10 version 1709 or higher.
Supported Systems: All Alienware Systems
Cause
This error occurs because there are shared files needed for installation that are in use by other Universal Windows Platform (UWP) apps causing the installation to fail.
Resolution
Solution 1
Close the installerClose all Microsoft programs such as Microsoft Store and any application from it, Microsoft Office applications, Microsoft Edge, Calculator, Microsoft tips, and any other UWP applicationTry to install Alienware Command Center againIf the issue persists, perform a Clean Boot.
