Symptom

Wireless clients in anchored SSID are not able to receive traffic. Main symptom is clients stuck on IP_Learn at the Anchor.

Conditions

This only applies for the following WLC appliances acting as 'Foreign' for affected SSIDs: - C9800-L - CW9800-L - C9800-CL Clients connected to SSIDs with mobility-anchor feature enabled Wireless controllers run the following releases versions: IOSXE 26.1.2 IOSXE 17.18.4a IOSXE 17.18.4 IOSXE 17.15.6

Workaround

Enable Mobility Data-link encryption at the tunnel between the foreign and the anchor: wireless mobility group member mac-address ip public-ip group data-link-encryption SMU fix is available on 17.15.6, 17.18.4a and 26.1.2
