The Network Convergence System 57C3 (NCS-57C3) Modular System is experiencing an issue where the 1588 Phase-Locked Loop (PLL) is stuck in the 'Acquiring' state when utilized in Precision Time Protocol (PTP) Telecom Grandmaster (T-GM) mode for profile G.8275.1. This issue is identifiable using the following command output: ' RP/0/RP0/CPU0:router#show controllers timing pll status location 0/0/CPU0 Wed Oct 2 12:30:16.672 CEST PLL State: T0 PLL : Locked NCO ASSIST PLL : Locked 1588 PLL : Acquiring'.
The defect occurs when the Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) is configured as the clock source in the PTP T-GM mode on the NCS-57C3 Modular System. Additional conditions may affect the frequency of the issue but are not documented here. (PID: NCS-57C3-MOD-SYS)
Please try the below settings and check if the 1588 DPLL is able to lock to the GNSS.
