Symptom

If on a WLC, where there is TACACS+ authentication configured, the AES encryption key is changed: configure terminal password encryption aes key config-key password-encrypt end the TACACS+ authentication stops working. On WLC "debug tacacs" the following message is seen: "TAC+: Invalid key"

Conditions

TACACS+ authentication configured on the WLC.

Workaround

If the AES key is changed to the old key, TACACS+ authentication works again.
