SFP/SFP+ ports, embedded on below platform models exhibit the following issue based on the inserted transceiver type: 1) SFP-10G-T-X (10G-copper): The router polls the transceiver registers for link state. In fail state, the link state retrieval fails and the link stays down. Only way to recover the link is a router reload. 2) Optical transceiver containing DOM support (( SFP-10G-LR, SFP-10G-SR, GLC-LH-SMD, GLC-SX-MMD etc): "sh int transceiver detail" returns wrong output: Temperature 0.0, Voltage 0.00, Current 0.0, Tx -40dBm, Rx -40dBm. "sh hw-module subinterface status" returns absolutely no output. Issue is cosmetic only and appears after weeks/months, a reload will clear the errors and the values will be displayed correctly again. Note: A transceiver OIR may cause the interface to transition to down state and a reload is required to recover from the failure. In this case it’s no longer a cosmetic, but a service impacting issue.
