- ASR9902 or ASR9903 router - Software upgrade or downgrade to other IOS XR version
Network boot with "hw-module location bootmedia network reload" for all RPs and LCs can be considered as a workaround. So following procedure is required to restore correct rootfs size for all location: 1) Network boot for standby RP: hw-module location bootmedia network reload 2) After standby RP become operational, perform RP switchover: redundancy switchover 3) Network boot for new standby (former active) RP: hw-module location bootmedia network reload 4) Network boot for all LCs hw-module location bootmedia network reload
The problem observed after 2rd XR upgrade (or downgrade): - Initial IOS XR installation via USB boot or iPXE boot: no issue observed - root-fs is 7.6G - First IOS XR upgrade or downgrade to any version: no issue observed - root-fs is 7.6G - Second IOS XR upgrade or downgrade to any version: the issue is observed - root-fs is 3.8G
