Symptom

HW:C9400-SUP-1XL SW:17.3.5 Symptom: - With dual sup, standby supervisor frequently suffered standby cold-conf issue during switchover. - All ports on module 5 linecard weren't up and gone into 'idle' status during the issue time. 3F_Network#sh platform software iomd redundancy Configured Redundancy Mode = sso Operating Redundancy Mode = sso Local RF state = ACTIVE Peer RF state = STANDBY COLD-CONFIG slot PSM STATE SPA INTF HA_STATE HA_ACTIVE 1 ready started ready 00:13:47 2 ready started ready 00:13:47 3 ready started ready 00:13:52 ***active RP 4 ready started ready 00:13:52 5 ready idle <<<<<<<

Conditions

1/Switchover or reload the SUP. 2/Chassis has Grant and Dimple.(Dimple:C9400-LC-48T Grant:C9400-LC-48S/C9400-LC-24S) 3/Any Linecard/SUP(hw version >= 3.1) in slots.

Workaround

The better choice is upgrade to the fix version.

Further Problem Description

It may temporary resolved by removing the idle card, and reload the switch.
