Symptom

An IOS XE Router may experience a cpp_cp crash followed by the reset of the ESP after enabling "platform qos port-channel-aggregate".

Conditions

This issue was originally seen with a port-channel that was used for an OSPF interface and is not QoS port-channel-aggregate. The conditions surrounding the event included 1) Issuing no port-channel interface 2) immediately following that enabling "platform qos port-channel-aggregate " 3) Recreate the port-channel interface 4) Followed by the application of the QoS service policy on the port-channel interface.

Workaround

One potential workaround could be removing the port-channel interface, allowing a period of time for everything to be applied (60-90 seconds)j, and then recreate the port-channel with the qos aggregate mode already applied.
