Symptom
SSL_ERROR_INTERNAL_ERROR_ALERT or ERR_SSL_PROTOCOL_ERROR presented by the browser when trying to access the WLC via HTTPS.
Conditions
WLC to 17.3.5a which has fix for [CSCwa23606 9800 WLC does not present full certificate in web admin]
- Error on Firefox:SSL_ERROR_INTERNAL_ERROR_ALERT and in Chrome:ERR_SSL_PROTOCOL_ERROR
- Chained web admin certificate with multiple intermediate certificates.
- Captures shows that the WLC does not respond with a server hello but sends an alert [Internal Error]
