Symptom
An IOS-XE device configured with Graceful Insertion and Removal (GIR) for BGP will display a 4-byte ASN as asplain when "bgp asdot notation" is configured.
If the device has Netconf enabled, Netconf may operated in degraded mode and the following messages will be displayed:
%DMI-3-SYNC_ERR: R0/0: dmiauthd: An attempt to synchronize the running configuration to the NETCONF running data store has failed:
%DMI-3-DMI_DEGRADED: R0/0: dmiauthd: The dmi infra is operating in degraded mode. Most synchronizations from IOS to NETCONF datastore will not be performed
This request is for GIR to support 4-byte ASN asdot notation when "bgp asdot notation" is configured.
Conditions
IOS-XE software configured with BGP asdot notation, GIR and Netconf (optional).
Workaround
