CFM Down MEP not up with span-pw config
CFM Down mep configured with span-pw config, the Down Mep didn't come up
CFM (or some other protocol that requires information exchange over a designated interface) configured with span-pw config and the associated interface is present on multiple NPs for a single LC and the interface type allows for different UIDB index values to be allocated per NP. Here is an example L2 Bundle sub-interface: show uidb index location 0/1/cpu0 Sat Jul 17 07:31:56.236 EDT ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Location Interface-handle Interface-name Interface-Type Index (per NP) np0 np1 np2 np3 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 0/1/CPU0 0x02000040 FINT0_1_CPU0 Main interface 65535 65535 65535 65535 0/1/CPU0 0x020000c0 HundredGigE0_1_0_0 Main interface 1 0 0 0 0/1/CPU0 0x02000180 HundredGigE0_1_0_1 Main interface 0 1 0 0 0/1/CPU0 0x02000200 HundredGigE0_1_0_2 Main interface 0 0 1 0 0/1/CPU0 0x02000380 TenGigE0_1_0_3_0 Main interface 0 0 0 1 0/1/CPU0 0x020003c0 TenGigE0_1_0_3_1 Main interface 0 0 0 2 0/1/CPU0 0x02000400 TenGigE0_1_0_3_2 Main interface 0 0 0 3 0/1/CPU0 0x02000440 TenGigE0_1_0_3_3 Main interface 0 0 0 4 0/1/CPU0 0x02000480 TenGigE0_1_0_3_4 Main interface 0 0 0 5 0/1/CPU0 0x020004c0 TenGigE0_1_0_3_5 Main interface 0 0 0 6 0/1/CPU0 0x02000500 TenGigE0_1_0_3_6 Main interface 0 0 0 7 0/1/CPU0 0x02000540 TenGigE0_1_0_3_7 Main interface 0 0 0 8 0/1/CPU0 0x02000580 TenGigE0_1_0_3_8 Main interface 0 0 0 9 0/1/CPU0 0x020005c0 TenGigE0_1_0_3_9 Main interface 0 0 0 10 0/1/CPU0 0x08000120 Bundle-Ether123 Bundle Interface 65534 65534 65534 65534 0/1/CPU0 0x080001a2 Bundle-Ether123.222 Sub-interface 2 0 2 11 <--- different UIDB index per NP
A reload of the problem LC might help the situation because the UIDB index values can be allocated in a different order, but it is not guarnteed to help - in the example shown above which used a breakout configuration to make the UIDB index values be different on NP3 the use of LC reload would not help.
