After upgrading N7K to 8.4(3), 8.4(4), 8.2(6) or later, the load interval (I/O rates) are missing from the SVI show interface command output. This only happens to the SVI interfaces. Physical interfaces are not affected. When the switch is running a previous release to the ones mentioned above, the I/O rates are displayed in the command output: switch-vdc1# show module Mod Ports Module-Type Model Status --- ----- ----------------------------------- ------------------ ---------- 1 12 10/40 Gbps Ethernet Module N7K-F312FQ-25 ok 5 0 Supervisor Module-2 N7K-SUP2E active * Mod Sw Hw --- --------------- ------ 1 8.4(2) 1.1 5 8.4(2) 1.1 switch-vdc1# sh int vlan 10 Vlan10 is down (VLAN/BD is down), line protocol is down, autostate enabled Hardware is EtherSVI, address is 8478.ac1f.c6c2 MTU 1500 bytes, BW 1000000 Kbit, DLY 10 usec, reliability 255/255, txload 1/255, rxload 1/255 Encapsulation ARPA, loopback not set Keepalive not supported ARP type: ARPA Last clearing of "show interface" counters never Load-Interval #1: 1 minute (60 seconds) 60 seconds input rate 0 bits/sec, 0 packets/sec <<< 60 seconds output rate 0 bits/sec, 0 packets/sec Load-Interval #2: 5 minute (300 seconds) input rate 0 bps, 0 pps; output rate 0 bps, 0 pps L3 Switched: input: 0 pkts, 0 bytes - output: 0 pkts, 0 bytes L3 in Switched: ucast: 0 pkts, 0 bytes - mcast: 0 pkts, 0 bytes L3 out Switched: ucast: 0 pkts, 0 bytes - mcast: 0 pkts, 0 bytes When the switch is running one of the releases mentioned above, the I/O rates are no longer displayed: switch# show module Mod Ports Module-Type Model Status --- ----- ----------------------------------- ------------------ ---------- 1 12 10/40 Gbps Ethernet Module N7K-F312FQ-25 ok 5 0 Supervisor Module-2 N7K-SUP2E active * Mod Sw Hw --- --------------- ------ 1 8.4(3) 1.1 5 8.4(3) 1.1 switch-vdc1(config-if)# show int vlan 10 Vlan10 is up, line protocol is up, autostate enabled Hardware is EtherSVI, address is 8478.ac1f.c6c2 MTU 1500 bytes, BW 1000000 Kbit, DLY 10 usec, reliability 255/255, txload 1/255, rxload 1/255 Encapsulation ARPA, loopback not set Keepalive not supported ARP type: ARPA Last clearing of "show interface" counters never L3 Switched: <------------- load interval rates are missing input: 0 pkts, 0 bytes - output: 0 pkts, 0 bytes L3 in Switched: ucast: 0 pkts, 0 bytes - mcast: 0 pkts, 0 bytes L3 out Switched: ucast: 0 pkts, 0 bytes - mcast: 0 pkts, 0 bytes
N7K running either of the following releases: 8.2(6) 8.2(7) 8.2(7a) 8.4(3) 8.4(4)
There is no workaround for this.
These outputs for the SVI interface have been restored in 8.4(5).
