[Partial workaround] The "cisco id" field in output of show interface transceiver is intended to print the transceiver ID, which is taken from the first byte in the transceiver SPROM. This ID depends on the type of transceiver currently installed, for example expected behavior is to see "cisco id is 3" for SFP or "cisco id is 13" for QSFP. This information can be also retrieved using the following command: N5K# show interface ethernet transceiver sprom | i Identifier Identifier : 0x03 (SFP) <== transceiver ID and corresponding type Ext_Identifier : 0x04
