mibd_entity process on Cisco ASR9000 routers running IOS-XR Release 7.1.15 may cause memory leaks. Memory held by the process keeps increasing over time if SNMP polling is done continuously.
Continuous mib walk can trigger this issue. The leak is specifically caused by this MIB under mibd_entity process: ciscoSelectiveVrfDownloadMIB - 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.775 Every iteration causes about 19KB leak. Polling for prolonged duration can result in large amount of memory leak in mibd_entity process.
To reclaim memory held by the process because of the leak, mibd_entity process can be restarted using command "process restart mibd_entity".
