Symptom
Random ports do not provide PoE on C9300 switches
Conditions
Some ports stop providing PoE on C9300 switch running 16.9.4 & 16.9.5.
Issue is most commonly seen on switches stack. It does not affect current active switch
As soon as power good timer expires, the following log is displayed
Aug 12 13:42:32.510 CDT: %ILPOWER-3-CONTROLLER_PORT_ERR: Controller port error, Interface Gi2/0/24: Power given, but State Machine Power Good wait timer timed out
Workaround
A power-cycled of the affected switch temporarily fixes the issue. However, it might come back after some time.
A soft reload through the 'reload' command does not always help
