When the SPAN destination is connected to member in a horizontal stack different than the source port is connected, it will not capture the traffic (UDP, ICMP, etc.). monitor session 1 source interface gi1/0/3 both monitor session 1 destination interface gi3/0/1
SPAN destination is connected to a different horizontal stack member than the SPAN source is connected.
Configure destination interface from each member of the stack that will trigger the required changes to be done ASIC for SPAN to work properly in all combinations. monitor session 1 source interface gi1/0/3 both monitor session 1 destination interface gi3/0/3 ++ monitor session 1 destination interface gi1/0/1
This issue is now fixed in mainline and will be available on 15.2(7)E3/3.11.3E release.
