A Kernel panic and reset can be seen with 9.2(3) or below and early 9.3(x) versions of NXOS software show logging onboard stack-trace may show the following logs after the kernel panic rwsem_get_owner+0x2b/0x150 [klm_rwsem]
Only affects version 9.2(3) and below and early 9.3(x) versions. No other release is affected All the previous release 7.x are not affected and this issue is not applicable to those versions..
There is no work around to avoid the kernel panic. The only work around is to proactively reload the switch to avoid the unexpected the crash at a later point of time The uptime is arbitrary and not predictable.
The panic issue does not happen so often, It is a timing issue and so far happened only after very long switch uptime with no specific triggers.. The processes names shows in the logs are just victims as the error happens in their context and those processes are not the culprit or trigger for the issue.
