APIC-EM's PnP Discovery stops prematurely with no user intervention and displays the following message: %PNP-6-PNP_DISCOVERY_STOPPED: PnP Discovery stopped (Config Wizard).
Device under provisioning is a Catalyst 3850 running 16.3.5b, 16.3.6, or 16.3.7 with an upstream ISR4K configured with a PnP startup-vlan and connected via a dot1q subinterface.
At this time, there is no workaround.
The PnP agent on the 3850 misinterprets the non-vlan 1 configuration by SMI as carried out by a user from global config mode. During the initial stage of discovery on the device we see '%SYS-5-CONFIG_I: Configured from console by tty100' before discovery is stopped.
