Symptom

In telemetry dial-out mode, incorrect encoding data streamed to server.

Conditions

When the configuration encoding is changed from no encoding to 'encoding ' to no encoding to etc. An example of dial-out telemetry configuration: telemetry model-driven destination-group dest1 address-family ipv4 1.2.3.1 port 8801 encoding self-describing-gpb <=== protocol grpc no-tls ! ! sensor-group group1 sensor-path Cisco-IOS-XR-infra-syslog-oper:syslog/messages/message ! subscription sub1 sensor-group-id group1 sample-interval 0 destination-id dest1 ! !

Workaround

Remove and re-configure the affected destination-group configuration.
