GRE tunnel interface is showing huge counters after removing the GRE tunnel interface and adding the configuration of the interface back.
Create a GRE/mGRE tunnel and send traffic so that packet/byte counters show non-zero stats. Now unconfigure and configure the tunnel (using same tunnel index). This causes the packet/byte counters for the tunnel to show abnormally large garbage values.
issue the command "clear counter"
Issue is due to not initializing the counter values cached in forwarding layer, which triggers a counter update with negative values to ios.
