OSPFv3 NSR sync is not happening after the RPFO. the issue is observed when we power down Octane LC just before the RPFO.
This is a PI issue. this will happen if we do an RPFO just after an LC power down. the issue is because of Stale Link LSA is present on the new active RP. when we try to sync those Stale LSA with the new standby RP, the new standby will not have those interfaces which belongs to these link LSA. due to that NSR sync will not be achieved.
the system will recover in max 1 hour (OSPF MAX AGE) once these stale LSA will be flushed from the active. in case we want to recover fast than any operation which will trigger deleting of Link LSA on the active should work. 1) delete the OSPF interface configuration if that interface is no longer present in system. 2) process restart ospfv3 will also recover the issue but this will be too harsh for this issue.
This is a PI issue and can happen on any platform. this is a day1 issue. CSCuq90696 tried to fix this but does not cover all the cases.
