Problem could be caused by a bad SFP ( FCOT ) or a hardware error on the switch port. Invalid calibration Shut / no shut has no effect, port stays in Error Disabled State.
Check the output of this command: show hardware internal transceiver slot port info and look for the field "FCOT read return code: Example: FCOT read return code I2C_READ_FAILED [failed to read response(-11) - exp 26 act 0]
Ignore the "vendor not supported" message because the SFP cannot be read.
The messages indicates a bad port on the switch or a defective FCOT ( SFP ).
