To be able to SSH: a) We generate RSA keys first, however this fails with: ASR1K(config)#crypto key generate rsa modulus 2048 The name for the keys will be: asr1k.cisco.com % The key modulus size is 2048 bits % Generating 2048 bit RSA keys, keys will be non-exportable... % Error in generating keys:no available resources <<<< No available resources b) when an RSA key exists already, SSH debugs will show: %SSH-3-RSA_SIGN_FAIL: Signature connection failed, status 3 %SSH-3-RSA_SIGN_FAIL: Signature creation failed, status -1 SSH1: Session disconnected - error 0x00
ASR running on XE 3.7 or later [15.2(4)S or later] acting as SSH Server.
Reload the router.
The issue has been fixed by changes done as part of CSCvb11664. Please look at CSCvb11664 to see software releases with the fix.
